Just want to say that Dr Montgomery has assisted me in understanding and dealing with my mental health. Knowledge is power and can transform perception and awareness of why we are sometimes not functioning efficiently effectively and with rational control. Dr Montgomery has transformed my predicament by ‘injecting’ his wealth of clinical knowledge with logic and diagnostic precision to help me get my life back in order after years and years of struggle and failure. His wisdom and kindly manner matched with a desire to enlighten not only his clients but the wider world/peers/institutions of the damage done by undiagnosed ADHD in Children and Adults if left or ignored is commendable. Transforming lives instead of writing people off because their behaviour is odd or ‘bad’ must be challenged. I congratulate Dr Montgomery for his commitment to this cause and cannot thank him enough for providing me with most importantly answers-diagnosis and treatment which I know is transformative for me. Keep up the good work! Thankyou- C. Doyle

I took my son to see Dr Andy Montgomery. Andy made us feel comfortable, listened carefully and understood the issues that my son has had to live with. He diagnosed inattentive ADHD and explained what that entailed. He explained that my son was not 'lazy', that his difficulties throughout his school and working life were explainable and that there was help available was a huge relief. Andy prescribed my son with some tablets to help him focus. This was done carefully, with weekly monitoring. Andy then reviewed my son and we are in the process of setting up a shared care agreement with our GP. Andy responds quickly and attentively when I contact him.

I was quite nervous and didn't know what to expect from the appointment. Within minutes of the appointment starting the doctor had made me feel at ease. I felt he completely understood how I was feeling. We discussed the options to go forward with treatment and we both came to agreement of the treatment after it was all explained.

I saw Dr Montgomery yesterday for my ADHD assessment and he was very welcoming and reassuring. He was very quick to put me at ease and confirm my ADHD which was a huge relief after years of being undermined by my NHS GP's and being made to feel that I was imagining it - it's hard to describe how good it feels to finally be taken seriously by a health professional. Dr Montgomery explained that he would ask/repeat some previous questions to acertain if there were any other symptoms or conditions and I believe that if I had been wrong to suspect I had ADHD that he would have been very helpful to try and find out what I may have been struggling with instead. This was a big concern for me, especially paying for a private diagnosis and if I was paying for an assessment for something I might not have, would I just be left guessing what next? But that didn't happen and Dr Montgomery was very thorough and I would not hesitate to reccomend his services as someone who really seems to care about his patients. I found Dr Montgomery through Psychiatry-UK but had the optin to visit him in person in Tavistock. For my follow up appointments I can visit in person or over video link instead, so it's great to have that flexibility. My only concern was being unsure if I was actually in the right location when we arrived, so if possible I'd suggest a small sign or something to let visitors know they're in the correct waiting room etc! But that's the only thing I can think of, not a big issue at all. Highly reccomended!
